June Events

 

Spokane Pride Parade & Festival

 

When: Saturday, June 14th @ 12pm

Where: Downtown Spokane

 

The Spokane Pride festival is a yearly celebration of the local LGBTQIA2S+ community. The first march in Spokane was on the sidewalks and was sponsored and coordinated by Spokane PFLAG. The following year, a permit was ordered, and the march was in the streets, followed by a small rally in the park. Now, thousands gather every year to march down the streets of Downtown Spokane and enjoy a day-long festival in Riverfront Park. The parade begins at noon, while the festival kicks off at 1 pm in Riverfront Park. Terrain’s Bazaar

The next event on our Summer Guide is Terrain’s Bazaar. Bazaar is an annual art market held every summer on the weekend before Hoopfest. In fact, this is our region’s largest all-local art market. Hoopfest

4th of July Celebration at Riverfront Park

Moving on to our July events in this Summer Guide, we have the 4th of July Celebration at Riverfront Park. Every year, Riverfront Park hosts a spectacular fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July. Here, you can expect a day filled with family-friendly festivities that end with a beautiful fireworks display at the Lilac Bowl once the sun goes down. Fireworks will be set off near the clock tower and can be seen from various locations around downtown, including the Pavilion. Unity in the Community

Moving along to the August portion of the Summer Guide, we have the annual Unity in the Community event. Unity in the Community is Spokane’s largest multicultural celebration dedicated to bringing people together across all backgrounds to build a stronger, more connected Northwest. Their mission is to serve as a vital resource for every citizen by promoting equity, inclusion, and community awareness, while supporting underrepresented groups through education, engagement, and economic opportunity. This free, family-friendly event features five vendor areas: Youth Fair, Career & Education Fair, Health Fair, Senior Resources, and General Vendors. Pig Out in the Park

One event in this Summer Guide that you surely won’t want to miss is Pig Out in the Park. Pig Out in the Park is Spokane’s premier Labor Day Weekend food and free music festival. This family-friendly event is one of Spokane’s most ethnically diverse annual events; Everyone is welcome at Pig Out in the Park. Pig Out in the Park takes place in Riverfront Park in the heart of Downtown Spokane. Here, you get free admission to the city’s favorite festival. Stardew Valley: Symphony of Seasons

Moving along to the September section of our Summer Guide is the Stardew Valley: Symphony of Seasons. Curated by game developer ConcernedApe, Symphony of Seasons features a 35-piece orchestra performing the most memorable music from the game Stardew Valley. Additionally, a screen above the stage will play gameplay footage plus original content created exclusively for this tour. Concert-goers can look forward to hearing the game’s most cherished songs as they watch their farm grow throughout the seasons and explore some of the valley’s most memorable locations.

Spokane County Interstate Fair
