If you read our most recent 4/20 blog, you know about nug hunt. This game takes the classic Easter Egg Hunt and puts a fun stoney twist on it. If you’re tired of the same old Easter traditions, switch it up and invite all your favorite stoners over to have a Nug Hunt!
Set-Up
Setting up for Nug Hunt isn’t much different than setting up for an Easter Egg Hunt. You’ll need to go out and buy some plastic eggs that can be filled with goodies, some baskets for your friends (unless you have them bring their own), and some different cannabis products. If you want to have a big hunt with a lot of friends, be sure to have them pitch in some bud too! Here in Washington, you can only buy 28g at a time. So, if everyone pitches in, you can have an extra lucrative Nug Hunt! If you really want to take your game up a notch, we suggest using a tier system for your eggs. Here’s what we would do.
Regular Eggs
First, get a good amount of indica, sativa, and hybrid flower. To get the most bang for your buck, we suggest getting the Cherry Jungle Cake half-ounce from Giant as your hybrid flower. At just $25 for 14 grams, this is by far the best deal for the occasion. If you stick to 0.5-1g per egg, this pick will get you about 14-28 eggs full! If you want to get really fancy with it, try color-coding your eggs. For this hybrid flower, we suggest sticking it in some green eggs. Green is actually the color we use here in some of our menus at Cinder to indicate hybrid strains!
Lastly, you’re going to need a good sativa to round off the selection. This will be a pricier flower than the previous, which will make it a more lucrative find during the hunt. We recommend picking up some Alaskan Thunder Fuck from Buddy Boy Farms as your sativa option. This will run you $45 for a fourth, but boy will it be worth it. Plus, if you stick with half-grams for your sativa eggs, that’s a hearty 14 eggs to add to the hunt! We recommend using red or pink eggs to indicate your sativa flower.
Golden Eggs
Now, this step is entirely optional, but it will take your Nug Hunt up about one hundred notches if you decide to do it. If you ever went on Easter Egg Hunts growing up, you may remember the elusive Golden Egg. Parents would often stuff the best prize in this egg, for my family it would always be something like a five-dollar bill or a whole stack of quarters to take to the arcade. For Nug Hunt, we want you to take that idea and make it dank. Here are some suggestions of what to put in the highly sought-after Golden Egg.
