If you read our most recent 4/20 blog, you know about nug hunt. This game takes the classic Easter Egg Hunt and puts a fun stoney twist on it. If you’re tired of the same old Easter traditions, switch it up and invite all your favorite stoners over to have a Nug Hunt!

Set-Up

Plastic Nug Hunt Eggs

Setting up for Nug Hunt isn’t much different than setting up for an Easter Egg Hunt. You’ll need to go out and buy some plastic eggs that can be filled with goodies, some baskets for your friends (unless you have them bring their own), and some different cannabis products. If you want to have a big hunt with a lot of friends, be sure to have them pitch in some bud too! Here in Washington, you can only buy 28g at a time. So, if everyone pitches in, you can have an extra lucrative Nug Hunt! If you really want to take your game up a notch, we suggest using a tier system for your eggs. Here’s what we would do.

Regular Eggs

Giant Brand Bag of Weed

First, get a good amount of indica, sativa, and hybrid flower. To get the most bang for your buck, we suggest getting the Cherry Jungle Cake half-ounce from Giant as your hybrid flower. At just $25 for 14 grams, this is by far the best deal for the occasion. If you stick to 0.5-1g per egg, this pick will get you about 14-28 eggs full! If you want to get really fancy with it, try color-coding your eggs. For this hybrid flower, we suggest sticking it in some green eggs. Green is actually the color we use here in some of our menus at Cinder to indicate hybrid strains!

For your indica strain, we suggest picking up some Jager by Marprod. Not only is this a delicious and potent indica, but it’s only $35 an oz! That’s sure to get you at least 28 eggs full and ready to hunt for. In terms of color-coding, we suggest sticking your indica nugs in some purple or blue eggs.

Lastly, you’re going to need a good sativa to round off the selection. This will be a pricier flower than the previous, which will make it a more lucrative find during the hunt. We recommend picking up some Alaskan Thunder Fuck from Buddy Boy Farms as your sativa option. This will run you $45 for a fourth, but boy will it be worth it. Plus, if you stick with half-grams for your sativa eggs, that’s a hearty 14 eggs to add to the hunt! We recommend using red or pink eggs to indicate your sativa flower.

Golden Eggs

Now, this step is entirely optional, but it will take your Nug Hunt up about one hundred notches if you decide to do it. If you ever went on Easter Egg Hunts growing up, you may remember the elusive Golden Egg. Parents would often stuff the best prize in this egg, for my family it would always be something like a five-dollar bill or a whole stack of quarters to take to the arcade. For Nug Hunt, we want you to take that idea and make it dank. Here are some suggestions of what to put in the highly sought-after Golden Egg.

Kush Mintz 1g Cartridge by Low Orbit

Low Orbit 1g Weed Vape Cartridge

Our first Golden Eggs pick is the Kush Mintz vape cartridge from Low Orbit. Kush Mints is a hybrid strain with a fairly high THC content, 86% in this cartridge! The taste is uniquely minty which is sure to make the lucky stoner who finds this egg very happy. It also leaves users with an uplifting and happy high. Coming in at just $20 for a full-gram cartridge, this is a great option to stuff in that prized Golden Egg!

Lemon OG 1g Wax by Orgrow

Another great Golden Egg prize option is the Lemon OG wax from Orgrow. Lemon OG is an indica-dominant strain that gives users a fast-acting high. The taste is pleasantly mild with fruity undertones. It’s been noted that this strain tends to bring on a more psychoactive high along with a heavy, sleepy-headed sensation. Basically, it will get you stoney-baloney no problem. For just $9 a gram, you can’t go wrong picking up this bad boy for your Nug Hunt!

Cannafruit 10mg Groovy Chew by Sweet Nirvana Bakery

You can never go wrong with a sweet treat in your Golden Egg either. That’s why we suggest some Cannafruit Groovy Chews from Sweet Nirvana Bakery! These tasty chews come in both indica and sativa options and every one of them is made with Rick Simpson Oil. Their updated formula packs an all-new punch with updated terpene profiles that enhance the experience and allow users to feel the full glory of the entourage effect. Coming in at just $3 for a single edible, you might even consider picking up a few of these for your Nug Hunt!

Lil Ray’s 100mg 1.75 oz Lemonade

Lastly, we think a bottle of Lil’ Ray’s Lemonade is a great pick for your Nug Hunt. While this one may not necessarily fit in an egg, you can still wrap it up in a cute little bow and hide it among the eggs as the ultimate prize of the day. These delicious little drinks pack a major punch at a staggering 100mg of THC per bottle. Plus, there are so many flavors to choose from! Some of the options you can choose from are huckleberry, kiwi, pineapple, strawberry, and dragonfruit, or you can keep it classic with the Original lemonade. Either way, this pick is definitely going to make the person who finds it one happy stoner.
