To help you usher in the season, we’ve put together this Spokane Summer Guide where we’ll detail some of the events and activities coming to town this year. Whether you’re looking to get involved in the community or just enjoy some good old summer fun, we’ve got it all laid out for you in this blog. June
Pride Parade & Festival
When:
First on our Spokane Summer Guide is the annual Spokane Pride Parade & Festival! Spokane Pride promotes and empowers the visible diversity of Spokane’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and citizens with identities beyond the binaries. Through supportive education and the annual collaborative production of the Pride Parade & Festival, they provide progressive cultural opportunities and experience for the greater Inland Northwest community. The Spokane Pride Parade will kick off at 12 pm, with the Spokane Pride Festival running from 12 pm-6 pm.
Manito Art Festival
When: June 8, 2024 from 10 AM to 6 PM
Where: Manito Park – 1702 S Grand Blvd
For those who love art, this next event in our Spokane Summer Guide is definitely one you’ll want to check out. The Manito Park Art Festival is held on the second Saturday in June on the lawn just east of Duncan Garden off of Tekoa Street. Expect art, children’s activities, live music, food, and more. This festival focuses on providing emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their works of art alongside more established artists. The Manito Park Art Festival is produced by The Friends of Manito with all proceeds supporting Manito Park conservation.
Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live™ Glow Party
When: Saturday, June 22 at 12:30 pm | Saturday, June 22 at 7:30 pm | Sunday, June 23 at 2:30 pm.
Where: Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena – 720 West Mallon Avenue
Another fun-filled event in this Spokane Summer Guide is the Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live™ Glow Party. This action-packed monster truck rally features a laser light show, spectacular theatrical effects, dance parties, and Hot Wheels toy giveaways. Fans can also get the chance to participate in the Crash Zone Pre-Show Party. This event is held two and a half hours prior to every performance. The unique experience provides fans access to the competition floor where they can see the outrageous designs and epic size of the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks. Additionally, you’ll get the opportunity to get autograph signings from your favorite drivers and performers. Each Crash Zone ticket includes an autograph card, glow stick, souvenir pass, and an exclusive lanyard.

Crave! Northwest
When: July 11th – July 13th
Where: Center Place Regional Event Center – 2426 Discovery Pl
Up next on our Spokane Summer Guide is Crave! Northwest. Crave! offers an irresistible array of culinary delights, including fresh seafood and meats grilled over an open flame, homemade ice creams, baked goods, vegetarian options, ethnic cuisine, locally inspired dishes, and one-bite tasters. With such abundant offerings, you won’t leave hungry. Additionally, Crave! promises a “Drinkalicious” experience, showcasing a selection of beer, wine, spirits, and cider sourced from regional tastemakers.
Heathers: The Musical
When: July 12th – July 28th
Where: Spokane Civic Theater – 1020 N Howard St
Musical theater lovers, this next entry on our Spokane Summer Guide is for you. Heathers: The Musical is coming to the Spokane Civic Theatre this July. This show is based on the 1988 American teen black comedy film of the same name. The story follows Veronica Sawyer, a misfit teenager attending Westerberg High in 1989. At Westerberg High, The Heathers reign supreme. Heather, Heather, and Heather are the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio and they rule the school. But, Veronica Sawyer and her emo boyfriend J.D. seek to put an end to the Heathers’ reign of terror for good.
KuroNekoCon
When: July 19th – July 21st
Where: Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Spokane City Center | 322 N Spokane Falls Ct
This next event in our Spokane Summer Guide is for all of you nerds out there. KuroNekoCon is Spokane’s premier anime, gaming, and Japanese culture festival. KuroNekoCon brings over 2,300 people to the Spokane Convention Center in the heart of downtown Spokane each summer. Here, you get to take part in a three-and-a-half day-long community event celebrating Japanese pop culture, individuality, diversity, and artistic and creative expression. The KuroNeko Cultural Association’s mission is to promote and support the acceptance of diversity and appreciation of differences in cultures, communities, perspectives, and attitudes. They accomplish this by organizing inclusive activities and events centering around anime, manga, and related popular subcultures, as well as their historic and continuing contributions to art and culture.
August
Outlaw Music Festival
When: August 9th from 5:30 pm to 9 pm
Where: One Spokane Stadium – 501 W. Gardener Ave
Founded in partnership with the iconic and beloved Willie Nelson, The Outlaw Music Festival is North America’s largest touring music festival. Here, fans come together for a full day of music, food, drinks, and shopping. So, get ready to see Willie Nelson & Family, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, and Brittney Spencer live at One Spokane Stadium for an unforgettable night!
Pig Out in the Park
When: August 28th – September 2nd from 11am-10pm
Where: Riverfront Park – 507 N Howard St
Up next in our Spokane Summer Guide is one of Spokane’s most highly anticipated food festivals of the year, Pig Out in the Park! Pig Out in the Park is Spokane’s favorite 6-day food and free music festival. With free admission, you’ll be able to explore around 60 food booths, 35 public market booths, 130 free concerts on five stages, and four adult beverage gardens in beautiful Riverfron Park.
