Green Bluff is a growers association of more than 30 family farms and nearly 30 artisan vendors and shops situated in 12 square miles just north of Spokane. These family farms are home to bountiful apple orchards and pumpkin patches ripe for picking in addition to other seasonal activities.
Eleven Acres Farm
Eleven Acre Farms is located about 20 minutes northeast of Spokane on the beautiful Green Bluff at the foothills of Mt.Spokane. They purchased their original 11 acres of land (hence the name Eleven Acres Farm) in August of 1992. Since then, they have expanded to a now 64-acre farm, but their name pays homage to their humble beginnings.
They offer a variety of fruits and vegetables throughout the season. Most of their produce is ready to be picked by you with the exception of what they grow on acreage away from their primary location. When you visit this fall, you can expect ripe grapes, Asian pears, apples, pumpkins, and more!
Smith’s Hilltop Orchard
Smith’s Hilltop Orchard is a family-owned orchard located on Green Bluff that offers a variety of cherries, peaches, apples, and vegetables. Their orchard is small enough to have that special personal touch yet just the right size to offer a great selection of fresh produce. So, get your packing basket ready to load with some of the freshest, juiciest peaches and other great produce from Smith’s Hilltop Orchard.
Cherryshack Orchard
Cherryshack Orchard practices sustainable farming up on Green Bluff and offers a variety of fresh produce. Get ready to pick your own apples, pears, cherries, raspberries, apricot, plums, and garden vegetables when you visit. Not only is there fresh produce ripe for the picking, but Cherryshack Orchard also sells gallons of their own fresh apple cider!
Walters’ Fruit Ranch
Head on up to Walter’s Fruit Ranch and enjoy a day at the farm, take in the fresh air, grab some produce, and have an ice cream cone. Big Barn Brewing Company
Big Barn Brewing Company’s story starts about 50 years ago when Harvel Wood bought a 250-acre plot on Green Bluff. He came west during the dust bowl and was fulfilling a life-long dream to own his own fertile land. Later, his son Craig purchased part of that land in 1999, built a house, and planted acres of raspberry and blackberry bushes to extend Papa Wood’s legacy and love of the land. When you visit Big Barn Brewing Company, you can expect some of the finest craft brews around from their Lone Pine Pilsner to their Mead Honey Lager.
Wildland Cooperative
Wildland Cooperative is a worker-owned cooperative located on Green Bluff. They serve hand-crafted wine, beer, and non-alcoholic libations alongside a local art and farm-fresh good market. Their land is ever-expanding with crops of trees, cut flowers, fresh produce, and spaces set aside for conservation and re-wilding projects for generations to come. 3 Billy Goats Bluff
3 Billy Goats Bluff raises and sells Boer goats as well as blueberries, asparagus, and a wide variety of seasonal produce as well as fresh eggs from their free-range flock.
Found Barn Farm
Found Barn Farm founded their sweet farm in 2011 and has been loving their land and practicing Regenerative Agriculture ever since. Using only organic practices and Certified Naturally Grown standards, they produce the healthiest and yummiest veggies, berries, orchard fruits, and flowers. Their pups and kitties are joined by sheep, lambs, ducks, chickens, and turkeys. Partnering with like-minded farmers, they look forward to sharing their place, produce, and passion with you!
Twilight Cider Works
Twilight Cider Works is run by cider maker and Head Apple Smasher Will Jordan who turned his hobby of cider brewing into a full-fledged obsession. After moving his family to Green Bluff he saw the opportunity to make hand-crafted artisan cider with apples growing in the orchards all around him. He is usually found doing dirty work but can also be spotted in the tasting room and is always up for a conversation about cider. They have a number of ciders to choose from ranging from dry to semi-sweet.
