For the last 31 years, the Spokane Hoopfest Association has launched several programs, donated $2.5 million back to local charitable organizations, and built over 30 community basketball courts in the Inland Northwest. From June 25th-June 26th you can catch the largest 3-on-3 in the world as well as other Hoopfest contests like the Toyota Shootoff and the Slam Dunk Competition in downtown Spokane.
What is Hoopfest?
For anyone who may not know, Hoopfest is the largest 3-on-3 outdoor basketball tournament on Earth located right here in Spokane, Washington. Here, you’ll witness over 6,000 teams, 3,000 volunteers, 225,000 fans, and 425 courts spanning 25 city blocks. Hoopfest isn’t just about basketball though. It’s also an outdoor festival with shopping, food, and interactive entertainment. Hoopfest weekend has a massive impact on the local economy as well, bringing in around $47 million to the Inland Northwest every single June since 1990.
What to Expect at Hoopfest
Hoopfest weekend is forecasted to be mostly sunny with temperatures in the 70s so be sure to dress for the warm summer sun! Once you lather on that sunblock and throw on your favorite shades, head on downtown and get ready to witness a basketball bonanza with folks shooting hoops up and down the streets of Spokane.
