Trainwreck from Blue Roots in the Selkirk Mountains
When it’s October in the Selkirks the Trout grow to the size of your neighbors pekingese. Up a mountain path that will set your lungs on fire if your legs don’t collapse halfway up the mountain. A journey was set with friends but one question still lingered. What would be the perfect strain to propel us up the side of a mountain to wrestle lap dog-sized Trout? Blue Roots Trainwreck of course.
Who are Blue Roots?

Setting up Camp
We waited till we got to the top of the mountain before unpacking. Legs shaking and sweat rolling down my brow, we started to see an opening. We made it to the top, and the view was amazing. We posted up on the first rock we found next to the lake. Then, we lit up another Trainwreck and gazed in silence. Ten minutes later, the laughs and sporadic ideas start crossing our minds, and we decide it is time to set up camp and hit the water.
This little beauty was perfect for a day on the water; I was dialed in, feeling the euphoria race through my body with every cast. I was able to feel every rock and change in the water through my fingertips. In conclusion, I would highly recommend a day ripping lips in nature on this Trainwreck. You won’t regret it.
