Early 2000s alternative kids rejoice, Jimmy Eat World is coming to perform a summer concert in Spokane! For those who don’t know, Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band is composed of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. Gogol Bordello | Knitting Factory | Mon Jul. 17th
Start wearing purple because Gogol Bordello is coming to The Knitting Factory for a summer concert here in Spokane! For those unfamiliar, Gogol Bordello is an American punk rock band from Manhattan that formed in 1999. The members of the band come from all over the world and are known for their theatrical stage shows and persistent touring. In terms of sound, Gogol Bordello is inspired by Romani music mixed with punk and dub, incorporating accordion and violin. Music in Manito | Manito Park | Wed Jul. 19th
Music in Manito is a two-part event that you won’t want to miss. The first half of the program will begin with a performance by the Grammy-Winning Attacca String Quartet. For the second half, Youtube sensation Simply Three will perform covers from Adele, Coldplay, Gershwin, and more! Both evenings offer the same program. The concert site opens at 5:30pm for pre-concert picnics in both table and lawn seating areas. In addition, you’ll be able to enjoy up-close stage shots thanks to the two large Jumbotron video screens, one in the front lawn and another in the back lawn. Incubus | Spokane Pavillion | Sat Jul. 22nd
Get ready to rock out this summer because Incubus is coming to the Spokane Pavilion this July. Incubus is an American rock band from Calabasas, California, who formed in 1991. The band came together when vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, and drummer José Pasillas decided to form the group while enrolled in Calabasas High School. Fun fact, they were originally called “From Behind These Walls”, but quickly changed the name shortly after formation. The rock is still rolling through August as Ghost comes into town. This Swedish rock band was formed in 2006 and is known for its eccentric on-stage presence. In fact, seven of the group’s eight members, known as “Nameless Ghouls”, wear virtually identical, face-concealing costumes.
