I’ve got a confession to make. I never learned how to roll my joints. I love a good pre-roll or cone, but I’ve just never taken the time to learn how to roll my own. Queue GLW (Growing Like a Weed) with their incredible $6 all flower joints.

The Secret to a Great Joint

Weed Buds

GLW was kind enough to let me see just how they make their tasty joints and it was a lesson in perfection. Growing Like a Weed uses their astounding pesticide-free flower in all of their pre-rolls, no trim or harsh joints here. Growing Like a Weed has a few secrets on how they make sure their pre-rolled joints are the tastiest, and it all starts with the cannabis. Using full flower allows you to get the same great flavor from their joints as you do their grams, but Growing Like a Weed takes it one step further. I won’t ruin the secret but remember how the best part of cereal when you were a kid was all the sugar and flavoring at the bottom of the bag? It’s kind of like that.

Tools of The Trade

The Tops of Prerolled Joints

GLW runs their flower through a Futurola mini shredder. Something that used to take hours, now done in minutes. After running their flower through the Futurola shredder, they transfer the ground cannabis and sift it to ensure there are no stems to poke through the papers. They then repeat the process a few more times to ensure that the only thing in your $6 joint is the pesticide-free flower.

Secret Art of Rolling… Or Knocking.

Prerolled Joints From Above

Taking that finely ground pesticide free cannabis, GLW lines up the cones in their Futurola Knockbox and lets the marijuana fall. The cones are rapidly bounced up and down to make an even pack ensure there are no runs. After the Futurola Knockbox finishes up the joints are topped with more cannabis, then the cones are closed shut and packaged. Remember that kid in the back of the class that said his dream job was to roll joints all day? He’s living his dream, thanks i-502.
