What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, more commonly referred to as CBD, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and hemp. It is believed to have calming effects and can counteract certain negative effects of THC, the mood-altering compound responsible for the “high” associated with cannabis.

Why is it available in states where cannabis is prohibited?

You may have noticed that CBD products are often available at non-I502 associated shops (gas stations, supplement stores, etc.) and even in states where cannabis is still legally prohibited. This is possible because it can be extracted from hemp, and states and private companies have greater legal access to hemp.

Green Revolution CBD Tinctures

Tinctures are a great place to start, as they are available in multiple strengths.

Is there a difference between hemp-extracted and cannabis-extracted CBD?

Yes, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Cannabidiol naturally occurs in cannabis plants, as it does in hemp, but in far greater quantities. This is worth keeping in mind for a few reasons. The first, cannabidiol extracted from cannabis plants will likely have higher ratios of THC, while CBD extracted from hemp will probably have very little THC if any. The second thing to remember, hemp produces far less cannabidiol per plant than cannabis. Therefore, CBD extracted from hemp requires much more product, which can lead to higher prices.

Ceres Topical CBD Products

Topicals are extremely popular, as they have the least intoxicating effect and can be used directly on the body.

How do I use CBD products?

That comes down to preference. Cinder offers numerous CBD products; from tradition flower to pre-rolls, concentrates and cartridges, edibles, and topicals.

Journeyman CBD Jellies

Edibles come in a wide variety of options; from candies like gummies or chocolates to tinctures with multiple strengths available.

How much should I take?

Much like THC, finding the right dose of CBD is a personalized experience. But there are a few factors to consider, such as the ratio of CBD to THC. These products often come in a variety of strengths, with a 1:1 ratio being exceptionally common. This is a good place to start if you are accustomed to THC products, however, if you new to the world of cannabis, start with a low THC, high CBD dose, like a  5:1 or 10:1, or look for a product that doesn’t contain any THC at all.
